ANTI/HERO
Freaky Friday meets Gotham City in Anti/Hero, a new Middle Grade Graphic Novel by Kate Karyus Quinn and Demitria Lunetta that features original content and characters set in the DC universe.
Sloane MacBrute and Piper Pájaro are as different as two thirteen year old girls can be. Piper is athletic and popular, always ready to help out her friends, of which there are many. Sloane is a loner. Smart and snarky, she has zero friends and zero interest in anything but school.
But while neither of them knows it, they have a super secret in common.
Piper is strong. Really strong. Strong enough to smoosh a baseball or accidentally put a hole in a wall. She longs to be a superhero. Sloane, on the other hand, is smart. Not just brainy, but intelligent at the evil-genius level. Sloane wants financial security--even if it means living up to the no-good-reputation of the MacBrute family name.
Piper and Sloane meet as hero and villain. As they fight over a mysterious device, the girls are zapped and switch bodies. Forced to live each others’ lives while also navigating the perils of middle school, the girls learn new things about each other and themselves. In the end, they must find a way to work as a team and finally swap back.
Available April 14th 2020 from DC Books for Kids.
